Onion - Ambition Hybrid (4-pack)
Shallot. Nearly round, 2” bulbs have a delicate flavour, long shelf life, and are easy to peel. Plants can handle light frost and are ideal for raised beds or containers. They will benefit from a little bone meal at planting time. Transplant as a bunch, or gently tease apart for individual plants.
To Harvest: When the plant necks begin to fall over, gently pull up bulbs and let them rest on their sides in the garden for 2-7 days. Then bring indoors to an airy room away from direct sunlight to cure for 2-3 weeks. Once the green disappears, trim off roots and cut stems 1” from top of bulb. Cured bulbs store well for 6-9 months.
Harvest: 100 days
Plant Spacing: 4-6”
